
Seattle real estate market outlook for 2020
Expect the seller’s market to continue in 2020, though its not quite as crazy as it was two years ago. High demand and low supply indicate there will be no shortage of buyers for listed properties. Outsiders continue to relocate to Greater Seattle, attracted by the expansion of the tech industry (Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, etc) and the stability of other industry giants.
This is only reinforced by the many great attractions of the Puget Sound area and the mild climate. A seller’s market means big sales and fewer days-on-market for properties. For Seattle area real estate agents, its a great time to be in real estate --- especially if you work for a firm where agents keep 90- 100% commission, and in a market where homes are selling for an average of $700,000.
